Faema and bimota, two Italian icons of excellence meet over “Coffee and engines”

An exclusive partnership between two iconic Made in Italy brands to celebrate craftsmanship, performance, and design.
A special dual limited edition of the Faemina coffee machine is born, entirely dedicated to the two BbKRT team riders, Axel Bassani and Alex Lowes.
United by a shared vision that celebrates perfection, craftsmanship, and a culture of performance, Faema – an historic brand of the Cimbali Group – and bimota – world renowned builders of hand crafted motorcycles - announce an exclusive partnership on the occasion of the WorldSBK round in Cremona, scheduled from May 2 to 4, 2025, with the collaboration set to continue throughout the championship.
Always pioneers in the world of coffee and motorcycles, they each continue their mission to bring innovation and uncompromising style.
Cimbali Group, one of the global leaders in professional coffee machines, has launched an initiative to celebrate the uniqueness of this collaboration: a special dual limited edition of the Faemina coffee machine, entirely dedicated to the two BbKRT team riders. Designed by ItalDesign – long a symbol of Made in Italy – Faemina is the ideal espresso machine for both home settings and small businesses. A true design object, it skillfully blends innovation with aesthetics, featuring an elegant style and clean, geometric lines.
The project with bimota includes the creation of two custom versions of Faemina, designed by Manuela Bucci Design and produced as a numbered limited edition:
47 units with a black bodywork dedicated to Axel Bassani – a tribute to his racing number and bold style
22 units with a white bodywork inspired by Alex Lowes, reflecting balance and dynamism
Each machine bears the signature of the respective rider and is designed to become a true collector’s item for passionate enthusiasts.
Pierluigi Marconi bimota Chief Operating Officer: “For the staff at bimota our daily "fuel" is coffee and creating a good cup of coffee is a craft in itself. Collaborating with Faema on this project we recognised the same attention to detail and design purity that we integrate into each motorcycle we produce.”
But the collaboration doesn’t end with the production of the limited edition. At every round of the WorldSBK Championship, the BbKRT team’s hospitality area will feature three Faema machines – one E71e and two Faemina – offering a professional coffee experience right in the heart of the paddock, turning each race into a moment of sharing and Italian culture.
As explained Biel Roda BbKRT Marketing Manager: “When we started the bimota project, Paolo Marchetti one of our racing engineers told me “Biel we will now be an Italian manufacturer, so we absolutely need the best coffee in the paddock”, Faema and Cimbali group are world famous coffee machine makers, we proposed the partnership idea and they were enthusiastic about the idea from the very beginning.”
Even the riders were among the first to experience this new presence in the paddock, with immediate feedback. Axel Bassani (BbKRT rider): “We started using Faema coffee machines in Assen and suddenly we can see many people of other teams and paddock family members squeezing in our hospitality to get an espresso… I love this partnership, and the limited-edition coffee machines are pieces of art! Too bad it’s just a lucky few who will become owners of units available”.
Jacopo Bambini, Group Marketing Director of Cimbali Group, highlights the deeper meaning of the collaboration: “Faema and Bimota come together in their shared commitment to excellence in design and manufacturing, their attention to detail, but above all, in their refusal to conform. Both are icons for those seeking an authentic and powerful experience: whether on a motorcycle or behind a coffee bar, the goal is always the same – to deliver real emotions that leave a lasting impression.”
The limited edition Faemina also represents a strategic opportunity to extend the collaboration by promoting shared values through Faemina’s presence at bimota dealerships and to coffee lovers who are fans of the brand. “This machine is designed to offer a high-level coffee experience in a variety of settings: from the paddock, where it will welcome bimota customers throughout the WorldSBK Championship, to the homes of true fans and coffee lovers who want to enjoy the Faemina experience in their own kitchen. Just like the essence of the WSBK Championship, which connects racing models to production models, Faemina brings the professional performance of the best coffee shops into a domestic setting.” says Andrea Clerici, Group Business Director of Cimbali Group.
The machines will be available exclusively on WorldSBKstore.com and can also be ordered from bimota dealerships. The official debut of the partnership will be marked by a special event: the “Paddock Coffee Break”, scheduled for Friday, May 2 at 12:30 PM CET, where the thrill of racing will blend with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. In Cremona, taste and passion will speak Italian. Two legendary brands, one unique project: Faema and Bimota prove that when Italian craftsmanship comes together, experiences are born that move fast and leave a mark.
Faema Art Machine
The FAEMA brand, founded in 1945 in Milan, is part of Cimbali Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of professional espresso machines. Iconic design, technological innovation, a commitment to sustainability, and a passion for coffee culture are the pillars that guide every Faema creation. The brand offers a diverse range of solutions for cafés, restaurants, hotels, workplaces, and home environments. FAEMA has made history, introducing lever machines in the 1950s and, in the 1960s, the FAEMA E61, the first machine to use a volumetric pump. Thanks to the talent of one of Italy’s most iconic designers, Giorgetto Giugiaro, and Italdesign, machines like the FAEMA E91, FAEMA Emblema, the FAEMA E71 range, and the FAEMA President were developed. In 2021, the brand launched the exclusive FAEMINA, a machine with a minimal and elegant design that marked Faema’s return to the Home segment, targeting both consumers and small businesses.
