In 2024, Bassani achieved one of his ambitions by joining a direct factory team, KRT. In 2025, he continued with the team as it evolved into the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team. Axel gave his best on the new KB998 Rimini, showing strong adaptation from the very first winter tests.
Despite the challenges inherent to a brand-new project, Bassani delivered several encouraging performances during the season, including 14 top-ten finishes, 3rd in Misano Superpole and a best result of 5th place in Assen, while regularly scoring points and contributing crucial feedback to the bike’s development. Entering his second year with a deeper understanding of the KB998 Rimini, Axel’s experience and growing confidence position him as a key reference within the team as the bimota project continues its upward trajectory.
In 2026, Axel Bassani will embark on his second season with the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team in the WorldSBK Championship, following a formative first year with the all-new bimota KB998 Rimini in 2025.
